UPDATES

I promised to show updated photos of my mantel and table setting.

I used bed springs and made ornaments for place settings, I printed some of the Graphics Fairy's Madonna and Jesus prints on sheet music for place mats, only on top of the plates.  The silverware and glasses will be in another location, until we are ready to eat.  The plates are all mismatched and all white.  The centerpiece is an outdoor trellis wrapped with silver twig garland.
This guy I found at Goodwill a few months ago and I deco-podged with an old Shakespeare book and music paper, then blinged him up.
A side view of my updated mantel.  I added the aluminum branches and the mercury glass, and decorated the little lights.

Just decorated an atrium.
Hope you like!!!      Thanks for stopping by!!

BONKERS

Let me just say my bloggeroo's, that I am totally and complely
bonkers at this stage of the game.  I am looking around and thinking,
I need to do this, or, I need to finish that!  I am hosting the Christmas
dinner for my family this year, and, although we split between my sister and Mom and myself, the cooking, its still the cleaning and pretty-fying and such
that is making me nuts!

I have been wanting one of these vintage Christmas trees for a while,
and, I finally bought one off of e-bay.  I have had it up since before Thanksgiving,
as I wanted to make sure all of the pieces were there.  It looks a lot better in person, really!

I have been so absorbed with all neutrals lately, till Iam beginning to think its a sickness.  Yea, thanks ladies, for that!

I'll be back later with pictures of my table setting, and updated mantel.

To Skrimps or not to Skrimps

Yesterday, my sister and I went to the Gulf Shores Shrimp Festival.  We both have lived round these parts for-ev-a, and have never been.  What bad Southern girls we are! It was hot, but, not as hot as it could have been.  I had just been sick as a dog the day before..(Friday), So I wasn't up for any skrimps...so I opted for a yummy fresh made funnel cake.   I still wasn't feeling too good...but, I was determined to go this year..especially since I had missed all of the Texas and Minnesota stuff.  My youngest son went with us, of course he was not the least bit thrilled to be there..especially after hearing some Buffet style music, so, he decided to thank me for it by vomiting on both of our shoes.  I had sandals on.  He had just ate a McDonalds happy meal, and it didnt make us happy at all.  Shortly there after...we left.  But, at least now I can say that I have been to the Gulf Shores Shrimp Festival!!  They had lots of expensive food and craft items...high dollar craft items...like paintings and stuff.  We left only with a bag full of our own shoes covered with vomitus.  Fun Huh????

My Small Attempt.....

At Fall decorating:
I found this iron tea/flower cart on the side of the road..I painted it, it was black.
This is a old Ice cream maker can, filled it with lemons (fake), a twig, and hung my handmade handprint on it.

My front door with a jackolantern wreath I got on clearance for 2.00 last year.

Got this kitty on clearance too!  The basket of fake pumpkins and gourds and old flash cards, inside the foyer under a table.
This folks sums up my hallo/fall decorations for this year!!

I'AM STILL HERE

I know, Iam one bad blogger....I have had a sick kid, trying to gather up more junk for my huge inside the house sale, selling on e-bay..(almost got that table paid for), and a visit from my oldest son,..I could keep on.
Anyway, I wanted to show you guys a couple of awesome things I have found recently.

Some old English Ironstone and old atlas jar from the monthly estate sale. $1.00-$3.00
This vintage collapsible basket from Goodwill for 1.79, and these old paint brushes, from e-bay, for 4.99 plus 10.00 for shipping!
This cool iron urn/cache pot from Southeastern Salvage for 8.00.  (probably will paint it)

I soooo wish you could see this up close!!  Its a Family Record/Tree.  The earliest date on this litograph is 1758 and the latest is 1888.  This is by far my best find ever!!  It was only 15.00 framed, at the estate sale!

Hope you all have been good...I have more stuff, and will get it posted soon!!

Remember this stuff??

Remember this stuff I showed you a couple of weeks ago?
Well this is what I did with it:  The 47.00 antique table is in my kitchen, with the Heaven sign hanging on the wall above it.
This is what I did with the flax bag:  I bought a body pillow from Old Time Pottery, and put it on my ugly love seat.  The other blue target burlap I made into a pillow and closed the end with 6 strips of lace, (can't see in pic).

The large lantern that I paid way too much for:  Almost filled up with baby shoes I have been collecting...These include my babies shoes.

Oh, and remember how I have been dying for a French bottle drying rack??  Well, look at the pics and you will see it it all of its lusciousness!!  It not antique, but, fine with me.  I know other folks have been wanting one and I don't have a problem telling you where I got mine:  http://www.thebeautifullife.com/  it was $85.00 including shipping, and you have to assemble it.
The silver plate pitcher is filled with dried hydrangea's from my yard, I forgot the picture. In one of the pic's up there is a antique tray that I covered the bottom with some of the Graphics Fairy's stuff.
Reckon that's all for now got more stuff to show soon!!  Toodles!  Rhonda

White Wednesday

http://fadedcharmcottage.blogspot.com/2010/07/white-wednesday-56.htmlI don't think I have shared this lampshade I made from either Romantic Country, or Romantic Homes Magazine.  They took the actual shade fabric off of theirs, but, I chose not to..It is embellished with lots of blue and white toole wrapped around the shade and tied, satin ribbon wrapped and tied, vintage lace, also wrapped and tied, small blue roses tied on with more vintage lace, a couple of flower brooches just pinned on and a butterfly clip.  It was designed to slip photos in between the lace and toole.
What it looks like on and off.

I will be trying to link to White Wednesday!!

I'am Such a Copy Cat

My Name is Rhonda...and I'am a Copy Cat Aholic.  I just can not stop copying other bloggers great ideas.  {Please forgive me, as, I do have some great ideas of my own sometimes!}

To give credit....I copied the birdbath from Salvage Dior's blog, and the bottles, that are everywhere from Coastal Charm.I already had plans to make the bottles..Just got hung up on soldering...just could'nt do it.  I Already had the broken iron bird thingie and pot and plenty of rocks that are weighing it in.

So,  now you know..the rest of the story!!
