My Problem

I....have a problem.  At least thats what my family tells me.  But,  as we all know..some folks just don't get it!  I NEED to have a cozy environment, other wise I would probably go nutty.  There are 2 or 3 styles of decor I have fell for, and I have tried to combine them all in 1 house.  I am constantly moving and changing and purging.  The only thing is, although purging is a good thing, I always replace with other things.  Its a constant rotation untill I get just the way I want it.  But, do we ever get it just the way we want it?  There is always something we (I) just haft to have!

My family calls me a hoarder...But, they have never seen those hoarding shows on TV.....so, Iam not a hoarder.  Over the years, I have had several different styles of decor, such as Traditional, Asian, Cutesie country, French County......untill recently, I have settled on this combination of French Farmhouse Junk Style..for the lack of a better title. 

What it really is, a combination of all the stuff I like..mixed and definately NOT matched.  Just stuff.

This area is in a addition to the house..we just call it the Sunroom,  I found the vintage glider in a junk pile, and fixed it up. 

This is a wall in my Kitchen..see what I mean?  Just a mismash of styles.

No matter what it is called...I just love it!! 

What would you call it??  I would LOVE to know!!!

When Is Enough....Enough???

Hey everyone! I was looking around the house and rearranging and deleting some stuff, and decided to show you all my collection of Milk Glass for White Wednesday..Night that is.  I started collecting milk glass a few years ago..lost interest and got rid of most of it.  My Grandmaw passed several years ago and I ended up with a few pieces of hers, so I started it up again.  I pick it up here and there, but it varies so much in price..kinda crazy really.  I think Iam crazy for having so much of it..I can't stop.

Christmas Gifts

I Love my new Camera!!  This thing is so Great!!  Of course, I'am not the best Photographer....but, I'll get there!!  Its a Sony Cyber-shot, I took a shot of the box!

                     I Also got this!!  I LOVE THIS THING!!!!

               I have already used it alot!!  I just like looking at it too!!  Crazy..I know!  Lots of begging involved here!! LOL

O.K., Now, This I bought for myself!!  I have been eyeballing it for a while and it was so cheap..I just got it!!  Its a vintage cigarette carton rack, used in old general stores in the 1950's.  Cool huh?  Its great for storage and display!! For only $40.00!!!!

I also got a bottle of my most favorite Bill Blass Cologne and a Rascall Flatts CD, a Pretty Wallet and a Awesome velvet shit with peacock feathers and a purse made from recycled plastic bottles!! 

I must have been a good girl this year!!  hehe (I'll just let them keep thinking that!!)

A Few Pictures with My New Camera

Sorry I havent been around...my camera up and died on me and I just got another from my oldest son for Christmas.  I wanted to go ahead and post a few Christmas pictures..not many..not to bore anyone.  I wish this aluminum tree would show up better than this..it really looks much prettier in person. 

     I had landscaping burlap around the bottom as a skirt..but, my weiner dog decided to weewee on it, and I took it up!

     Never mind my ugly kitchen..(Just look at the weiner!)

   I did not have the drive to decorate much this year..bad new runs rampant around here at Christmas-time.
I will be back with my awesome new present and some other goodies!

White Wednesday and Stuff

                                                               Just a few pictures of some white-ish stuff from around here and there.. 3 old Bench Stools, some Candle Lanterns and a white Stick Cross I made. (I have the glue gun burns to prove it! LOL)    

                           An old Armor crate with a Ball jar of dried roses, clock face, and my  new ampersand I bought at Burlington Coat Factory for 3.99.

                        Some zinc lids, old Antlers and a canvas Tool Belt bag I got from the hardware store. (There is some cool stuff in hardware stores)

                       You may have seen this old Toolbox full of Ironstone and what not.

                        And....Just out of the oven Pumpkin Muffin Cakes....Super easy and 
                                                yummy!

Against a Brick Wall

  

Let me just tell ya ladies, This junkin and fixin business is like a crazy obsession....My SUV takes on a mind of her own..and before I know it....well, you know the rest of this story!!  I was just tinkering around, (should have been cleaning) and re-done this brick wall in my sunroom with a old window and shutters. 


Just ignore the music wreath......Old news.....



I added deer antliers to each shutter....



And just sat a old pediment on the top of the window

I found this old typewriter stand at a new junk store here in my little town and loaded it up with my cement birds, old metal box, stamp holder,  etc........ 

I've been lazy with the blogging thing lately.....I'll try to do better!~!           Rhonda

Coffee Table and Stuff

I was at my Aunts house a few days ago and she commemdered me to help rearrange her den, after just having new hardwood put in.  I came home with a coffee table and a awesome curio!!  As usual I forgot to take a before shot..but here is the after!!

Just look at them claw feet!!  The detail is awesome.  Of course it was screamming to be painted...with my homemade version of (chalk paint)  sssshhhhhh!!!  

I also rearranged my mantel....yes..AGAIN!! 

I have 2 more pairs of antliers to mount and hang up there.   I will show the curio another time.
