A Little Christmas

I have had my Christmas tree up and decorated since before
Thanksgiving.  It is the old retro aluminum kind, so, there are no strings of lights on it.  I just recently found a color wheel at Robert Moore Christmas Town, here in Mobile.  Them things are pricey..but, no stringing lights!! (Works for me)  I pulled out a few of my kids olde toys from the garage, to gussy up under it.  There is a wooden rocking horse, a wagon with some rag santas, and my 14 year old's first teddy bear, his tonka trunk holding a wreath.  I will use the wagon to hold presents, when I get them wrapped. Inspired by www.oldgreymare.blogspot.com.

I just put a small string of lights in 3 old jars for a little sparkle in my den next to the fireplace, and put a Santa Hat on Diana the Moon Goddess.

I also made 3 sweater jar candle covers, they look pretty at night when they are lit up.

If you look to the right of the tree, you will see the best kitty in the world!!  This girl is Gracie, and she is almost 16 years old!!
I wish you all the best JOY that Christmas has to offer!!

Love to You!!  Rhonda

  1. Your tree looks so lovely! I don't blame you for putting it up early...all the longer to enjoy it:) Diana the Moon Goddess looks perfect in her Santa hat. Cute idea to use your kids toys under the tree, I'm sure it brings back some good childhood memories for them also:)

It's always so nice to see a post from you, I hope things are going well for you and your family:)

  2. Tis MOI again and I just loved your words...you're right, God needed more little Angels in Heaven. That's really the only explanation for this madness:(

I just want you to know I'm still enjoying all the gorgeous cherubic treasures you sent me and every time I look at them I'm reminded of you and your kindness! You have such a good and loving heart:)
