Thrifty Stuff

I took a little trip to one of my favorite junk haunts on Friday, not really looking for anything in particular...when all of a sudden, I spotted this old window screen.  I had been wanting one for a while, but, had never ran across one.  I got so excited to see this baby....in all of its chippy goodness!

I decided to pair (or triple) it up with my old round mirror and my recently found vintage marriage certificate!

The box holding it all up is an old cabinet re-faced with a frame I found on e-bay a while back.  It holds a few of my Marys.  And can't forget Mr. Chicken lamp and my metal rack holding shiny stuff.

All which sits a top of my vintage wicker table I got for 40.00 at another haunt!!!  I topped it all off with a length of burlap hanging from a rod suspended from the ceiling, (where my tapestry was hanging).  Oh, it all is flanked by 2 vintage columns given to me by a friend.

I wish I could take down the 70's mirrored wall....but, Iam scared of what I'll find back there!!!!  Oh great!  Just ignore the hands and arms!!!

  1. That all looks so gorgeous Rhonda! I was curious about what the "box" was, what a great idea. And wow, your marriage certificate is gorgeous!!!! I wish mine was that pretty.

Thank you for visiting my blog post on my son and I'm right their with you...I never got to live that lifestyle either! I went straight from my moms house to living with my ex husband and having babies. It's fun seeing him experiencing his youth:)

Have a wonderful day my friend!
