Against a Brick Wall

  

Let me just tell ya ladies, This junkin and fixin business is like a crazy obsession....My SUV takes on a mind of her own..and before I know it....well, you know the rest of this story!!  I was just tinkering around, (should have been cleaning) and re-done this brick wall in my sunroom with a old window and shutters. 


Just ignore the music wreath......Old news.....



I added deer antliers to each shutter....



And just sat a old pediment on the top of the window

I found this old typewriter stand at a new junk store here in my little town and loaded it up with my cement birds, old metal box, stamp holder,  etc........ 

I've been lazy with the blogging thing lately.....I'll try to do better!~!           Rhonda

Coffee Table and Stuff

I was at my Aunts house a few days ago and she commemdered me to help rearrange her den, after just having new hardwood put in.  I came home with a coffee table and a awesome curio!!  As usual I forgot to take a before shot..but here is the after!!

Just look at them claw feet!!  The detail is awesome.  Of course it was screamming to be painted...with my homemade version of (chalk paint)  sssshhhhhh!!!  

I also rearranged my mantel....yes..AGAIN!! 

I have 2 more pairs of antliers to mount and hang up there.   I will show the curio another time.

Handmade Heaven

This old section of wood had been in my backyard for a while, until 2 days ago, when I finally asked the hubster to ........

                     turn it into this........

                                

                                I haven't added the chicken wire yet,

                    trying to save the hands from the pain!

                    We were both soaked with sweat,      

                        but, we got er done!!

            Drink lots of water ya'll, its hot out there!!

Iam constantly amazed at how time flies!  Remember, when we were kids and longing to be old enough to do what we wanted??  I would give almost anything to have a chance to re-do a few things.  How about you? Stuff

I was gonna post this for White Wednesday...but, I was out junking around Gulf Shores and Hi-way 59 on Wednesday.  I found another cool crock and Finally received the one I bought from e-bay. 

I don't know..Ive caught the marmalade crock bug..

I found this old crucifix at the last estate sale..it was broken, it was only 1.00 and I was able to fix it.  He still has a missing hand. I still like him!!

Estate Sale Stuff and Some Photos

I really, really wish I was a good blogger and posted more often like you gals!  I have stuff to share most of the time, just no energy to get it done. 

I have mentioned the big estate sale that happens once a month in Mobile before, but I really found a few good things yesterday! (Good stuff to me anyway!) 

                          I have been on the hunt for small crocks, and I found
                                            4 at the estate sale...2 in this photo.....

                                 and the other 2 in this photo. (yes, 2 are alike)

                         I also found the smaller cement planter this time. 
                         I found a larger one a while back.  Iam waiting for
                         my Hydrangeas to get bigger, to fill it up.  Love my Mary
                         collection too!

                
             Iam hoarding more and more ironstone..
Its a sickness you know.  Somebody help me!!

Look at this,  I found this at Goodwill for 5.99!!  It reminds me of my own silly dogs!!  Loving the gray walls and the cotton bedspread..The dog is cute too!!
