http://fadedcharmcottage.blogspot.com/2010/07/white-wednesday-55.html Iam seriously gonna end up in the poor house.....but, this is what I found today...this time I went further into Mobile to an Antiques shop....I found the white antique table, wicker and wood top, (I really really want a longer one, but, not only can I not find one, but, I most likely can't afford it.), got it for 47.00 bucks...needs a repair or 2, this cool Heaven sign for 18.00...love the colors..and Iam planning on going there one day. The bestest was this flax bag..its large, and has a blue stripe and blue cross stitched letters..B K, for 30.00..it dont sound like a good deal..but I've been wanting one...I got the large lantern and silverplate water pitcher at a different place. They were not "deals" either.
As long as my spousearoid don't read my blog, I should be in good shape!! LOL
I do wish I had a junkin buddy though, my son just gripes the whole time!!!! Also linked to My Cottage Charm..for Treasures and Trinkets Thursday..Her button is over there -------->
When I was a little girl, I would pick weeds, (I thought they were flowers), all clinched in my fist, I would give them to my mother, in a vase the little weeds would live, until.. It made me feel good inside. As an adult, I still pick weeds, by picking ugly or castoff item's and creating something nice and useful. It still makes me feel good inside.

I think you got an AWESOME deal on the flax bag! Seriously whenever I look at them they are at least like 85.00 or more.

ReplyDeleteGreat finds, and I especially like that table and the lantern! Sometimes I go a little crazy at the antique stores, flea markets and garage sales too. Unfortunately, my husband DOES read my blog!
ReplyDeleteHappy White Wednesday!

I'll be your junking buddy-love the Heaven sign-haven't seen one of those-I hope to go there one day too!
ReplyDeleteWhen I do go out with junkin' buddies we tend to argue over who saw what first, and then try to make deals with each other and swap and trade at the end of the day.
ReplyDeleteHi Rhonda! :-) I'm glad you don't think I'm a meanie! lol

Blessings & hugs to you my friend
Missy
I think I need to go shopping with you :)
ReplyDeleteGreat finds! Thanks so much for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteWish we could be junkin' buddies. I live NW of Mobile over in the next state, but hardly ever get across the river into Alabama.
ReplyDeleteI have just found your blog and am liking it a lot. We seem to like the same kind of junk. The title of your blog is very good. I do the same thing--there is hardly anything I own which I have set out to buy: somehow, it just comes into my possession, and has to be painted, Spackled, taped, wired, glued, bolted, something. Nothing is without repairs!
How fun. What do you plan to make with the flax bag? Pillow, purse, apron. It really is beautiful just like it is!
