Well, I finally got to go the monthly estate sale in Mobile today, they have it once a month. I haven't been able to get down there for the last couple of months, and almost didn't make this one. My car is in the shop, It's only gonna cost about 700.00 to fix it...:(. Man that hurts, bad. Anyhoo, I bribed my daughter to drive me in her non-airconditioned ratteling truck..That was a real treat, let me tell ya! This is what I was able to pick up at the sale, we also stopped at another little shop and picked up things there.
This cabinet.. greenish aqua and white, chippy and has an old window for a door was priced at 78.00, but, I paid 65.00 for it. The birdcage and stand combined cost 39.00. I have one stand that I paid 85.00 for alone, with NO cage.
The silver plate, small plate and old wedding photo, were 1.00 each. The blue jars, 5.00 each for the 3 large and 3.00 each for the pints. 2 music books 3.00 each, the white tureen 5.00 the ironstone picture was 2.00, and the lady head was Not a steal, I just wanted it, 24.00. The corbel I already had..I paid 10.00 for it at a little country junk store, a while back. So thats my haul for the day, probably the weekend, with my car being out of commision! RATS!! What did you get????
When I was a little girl, I would pick weeds, (I thought they were flowers), all clinched in my fist, I would give them to my mother, in a vase the little weeds would live, until.. It made me feel good inside. As an adult, I still pick weeds, by picking ugly or castoff item's and creating something nice and useful. It still makes me feel good inside.

I feel your pain with car repairs. Mine was at the mechanic who broke more things than he fixed. Took it to a better guy who tried to fix what the first one broke, but had to get new parts. (mega bucks there) Had it home a day and Check Engine light came on, so back it went, and another few hundred dollars later... I am still not sure how far I want to go from home.
