When I was a little girl, I would pick weeds, (I thought they were flowers), all clinched in my fist, I would give them to my mother, in a vase the little weeds would live, until.. It made me feel good inside. As an adult, I still pick weeds, by picking ugly or castoff item's and creating something nice and useful. It still makes me feel good inside.

Thrift Store Bamboo Basket and Goodies
I found this bamboo basket at Goodwill the other day for 2.99, painted it white and arranged it with several larger shells, coral, starfish and white hydrangeas. I first filled the bottom with packing peanuts for some height, and then arranged the stuff. I think it looks light, airy, and beachy.

That is gorgeous. The colors are peaceful and happy, and well, I just love anything beachy.

ReplyDeleteI have found the best baskets in thrift stores because so many people seem to have a surplus. I use them a lot in my gardens to put pansies or collections of garden hand tools in. If the weather wears them out - I have only paid less than $1. This is gorgeous!!!! Jennifer jennsthreegraces stop by!!!
